At this point, we are in the process of rolling out the system. You can earn them but not spend them. This is temporary and will likely change quite soon. We felt that making the collection of LensCoins active now it would help us iron out any bugs in how we have implemented our blockchain and minting system and also allow our loyal customers get a headstart on the fun and the savings.

LensCoin Road Map - Forward-looking to Crypto

Our roadmap for LensCoins is going to be interesting. We plan to tie them to one of several cryptocurrency candidates (Cardano, Tron or Etherium). This will mean that in the near future you will be able to transfer your LensCoins out of your account on our website and into a wallet containing the cryptocurrency backing it. We are looking at proof of stake crypto (Etherium, Cardano, Tron) rather than proof of work (like Bitcoin) crypto as they are environmentally friendly, represent a true exchange of value and are gaining in popularity on a global scale.So that's another reason to start collecting LensCoins now!

When will the roadmap be published?

As soon as it's fully formed. We are looking at the technical issues and working on methods of stabilising the value of LensCoins so their value is not constantly in flux due to changes to the underlying crypto asset. This can be achieved with Smart Contracts but has a high degree of technical complexity so please bear with us while we figure this out.
